How do I sell my phone with you?

We've worked hard to ensure our process is as easy for you to use as possible. See below for our quick steps to selling your phone

Find your phone

Choose "Sell My Phone" from the home page or the navigation menu, select your manufacturer and find your model, or you can use our search facility. We buy over 2,000 types of phones. If yours isn't listed just contact us and we'll make you an offer.

Add your phone to basket

Select the condition of your phone, how many you want to sell to us and click "Add to Basket". Working phones are fully working with no damage. Non-working phones can have any number of problems, including broken screens, but must not be crushed. See our terms and conditions for more information.

Enter your details

We only ask for the information necessary to process your order and we don't require any accounts, passwords or logins.

Review shipping & payment options

If you choose to receive a freepost pack, you won't have to pay a penny for postage. We provide everything you need to send your phone to us. Just take it straight to your nearest post office. We currently offer payment by cheque or bank transfer. By selecting bank transfer you get paid the same day we process your phones.

All done! Sit back and wait for your payment

How do I send my phones to you?

We've worked hard to ensure our process is as easy for you to use as possible. See below for our quick steps to sending your phone

Find your phone

Find your old phone. Please remove any pin/security codes as we cannot process pin locked phones. If you have any other old mobile phones you would like to recycle, package those also and we will recycle them responsibly.

Package your phone

You should wrap your phone in bubble wrap, put it in a small box or protect it some way. You should check to make sure you've included your phone, battery and dispatch note or confirmation email. You do not need to send any chargers, leads or manuals.

Remember your dispatch note

Remember to include your dispatch note or confirmation email so we can identify your phone when we receive it. If you forget to include it, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to identify your phone and will not be able to pay you.

Review shipping options

Once your phone and dispatch note or confirmation email have been packaged, either pop it in the post box or go to your local post office to send. For high value phones we recommend sending them by recorded or special delivery as we cannot be responsible for lost or stolen phones.

All done! Sit back and wait for your payment

Your phone is received

You can view the status of your order at any time by following the link in your confirmation email or by entering your order details here. On receipt of your phone, your order status will be updated.

Your phone is tested

Our technicians will test your phone for condition and functionality. When this process is complete, you will be able to review your phone's test report.

The assessment of your phone

The value of your phone is assessed, taking into account any parts required to bring it back to a saleable condition. If our offer is less than that on your original order, you will be notified by email. You can review our offer and decide to accept the offer or have your phone returned.

Review shipping options

If you choose to have your phone returned, you have the option of two shipping methods. Recorded delivery at a cost of £6.95 (no insurance) or Special Delivery at a cost of £8.95 (insurance up to £500).

All done! Sit back and wait for your payment

If you accepted our offer, that's all there is to it. If you accept our offer before 14:00, you receive your payment the same day.

Who can place an order with us

We buy mobile phones from people within the UK. By placing an order with us you are confirming that you are resident within the UK.

If you are under 18 you must obtain the permission of your parent/guardian before placing an order with us.

You must not send (sell) a mobile phone to us which you do not own. By sending a phone, you are confirming you own it.

We may refuse to buy phones from any person, for any reason, at any time.

How the contract is formed

When placing an order through our site, you will be required to tick the box confirming your agreement to these terms and conditions. Upon receiving your order we will send an email confirmation to you. The agreement is formed at this point. The terms contained herein are the only terms that shall apply. Any variation to these terms must be confirmed in writing by us.

Selling your phone to us

All phones must appear on our website; be of UK specification; have battery included; be complete and not be lost or stolen.

To receive the full working value for your mobile phone/device, it must power-up (turn on) and be in full working condition (meaning that all features must be in good working order) and must not have visible wear and tear. Deductions will be made for parts required to return the handset to a saleable condition.

To receive the non-working price, the phone may have broken or cracked LCD screens; camera function not working or camera damage; buttons missing from the mobile mobile phone/device or other keypad damage; charger port not working; microphone damage; earpiece damage; or software which is faulty or defective;it must be complete and it should include its battery. The list is not exhaustive.

We do not accept phones that are crushed or broken in half and at our discretion, phones which have undergone repair outside of authorised service centres.

In the event that on evaluation your handset offer requires revision, your order status will be updated and you will be notified by email. If you choose to accept our normal payment terms will apply. If you refuse, your handset can only be returned on the receipt of our returns delivery cost. Please refer to our delivery and returns policy below.

We do not accept lost or stolen phones. Your phone will be checked against the checkMEND database. Should it fail this check, we will not purchase your phone and it will not be returned to you.

Please ensure you have removed the sim card, retained any data, cleared the phone and removed or provided any pin-lock. We cannot be responsible for any damages arising as a result of data retained on your phone. Sim cards will not be returned.

Payment & Delivery

In the event that a balance is due to you, payment will be made by “Faster Payments” transfer on the day your phone is processed, or by cheque or your proceeds will be donated to charity.

If any of your payment details are incorrect, we will send you a cheque.

In the event that a balance is due to us, immediate payment will be taken by credit card using our payment partner, Realex.

Cancellation

When selling phones, you have a 14 day cooling-off period. Should we not receive your phone within 14 days, your order will automatically be cancelled. Should we receive your phone after 14 days, you will be offered the updated price as currently listed on our website.

Events outside our control

We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under a contract that is caused by events outside our reasonable control or due to our compliance with any applicable laws or regulations.

Delivery & Returns Policy

Sending your old phone

Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for lost/damaged phones, even those sent using our freepost pack, so we suggest using recorded or special delivery for high value phones.

Return of Your Phones

There are two options for the return of your phones:

  1. Recorded Delivery will be via Royal Mail Recorded Delivery. This costs £6.95 and does not insure your phone.
  2. Special Delivery will be via Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day. This is guaranteed next day before noon, provided your order is received by midday and costs £8.95.

The information we collect via the website includes:

  4. Your details may be passed to a 3rd party or external agency where those agencies provide services for the Website.
